My name is Jeff Etcell, I work for the Department of Finance and Services in Sydney and next month we are upgrading our SAP version.
We are looking at going to a paperless office environment and wish to attach ALL items to our SAP documents.
We also use a scan program called “Enterprise” that attaches scans to the document number via OAWD. These cannot be deleted at all once attached.
We also create attachments manually so we do not print out the emailed invoice thereby saving paper.
Our dilemma is that whilst adding attachments manually they can also be deleted by the person who attached it but no other person can delete the attached invoice. I know I researched this many years ago and there is a security section that allows ANY attachment to be secure and not deleted by anyone. I think it was something to do with a person’s profile and that the number that was involved in the security was the number 6. How this is achieved is beyond us at the moment. Are you able to help us with this area so we can make this a less than a bad security item and therefore achieve a solid SAP program and also complies with our Auditors request?
