We will need to keep using this space for the beta feedback, as we are doing multiple migrations/archiving (the last one will happen right at go live) meaning that all content created in the beta environment, including activities, notifications..etc will be deleted, so none of that feedback or questions would remain. We are also legally bound to delete data before go live and start fresh.
It is also beneficial to keep all the feedback we got in one place for being able to look back at the original discussions, that as you correctly said will be placed in the archive.
