Regarding the scenario that you have described you mentioned the following - using IE11 and portal 7.31 sp16.
- Random events occurring when running our custom BSP from a role on portal.
- When selecting from a drop down which causes a refresh of the page, sometimes you encounter an IE popup "Are you sure you want to stay on this page?" with leave this page/stay on this page options. This can happen the first time the drop down is refreshed or the 10th time or not at all. There seems to be no pattern to it and it is not something you are triggering in code.
- This is not happening when the BSP is run from SAP itself so it would seem to be linked to portal in some way.
Ok firstly from a high level perspective could you kindly provide clarification on the following:
- Are we dealing only here with IE11 or does the issue occur in other Web Browser Platforms?
- Have you attempted to clear the Browser Cache before retesting the behavior?
- Could you kindly capture a screenshot of the popup? I'd like to see if we are dealing with a Portal based popup or something in association to the WorkProtectMode?
Secondly based upon your description I've heard of similar popups occurring in BI Portal Setups (if I am guessing the correct popup in this instance).
