Re: Loading a Corrupted Database Dump. Can it be done?

Hi Bret!!

 

Thank you for the RFI information.  I'm in the midst of getting a ASE 16 SP02 server up and loading the 12.5.3 dump into it.  I recalled the -32768 status value for bypass recovery it but I couldn't put my finger on it.  There's lots of information for me to digest and try and I believe I've mentally prioritized them so that I'll hopefully get the biggest bang for the least amount of effort.  I'll try the first of these and hopefully I won't need to get to the last.

 

My client has this one corrupt dump.  Nothing else.  I realize the data I am able to capture and recover won't be transactionally consistent but from my client's view, it's better than no data.

 

This is from the ASE log.  There was nothing in the BS log:
