Its not possible to change.The reason why it is not possible : We can have different screens for different categories,So its only changing teh category it self will not solve the user criteria.
Is existing created equipment created using any reference equipment?
Just assign deletion flag and make it inactive and remove form existing f/l.Then create new equipment as per respective category.
